sick of being sick? yep! i guess cleaning the mold yesterday set me back some because i have been coughing my head off.
kate has been coughing some today, so i put her back on zyrtec. i was giving her benadryl because she was attacked by 7 mosquitoes at school, including one on the face, but those all look better now.
if you have allergies, living on the coast is difficult. i can't tell if it's something in the air, my house, or all of the above. i feel like i'm always sick.
and i'm sure my blog friends are tired of hearing my tales of singulair and zyrtec.
i was very happy to get my entryway cleaned up. i keep going out there to check it out and make sure i like it. it'll do.
andy arrived home after noon today with some lunch from peppers in hattiesburg and the salad is my favorite from there. mmm. he and kate took a nap and i caught up on some email and tried to rest, but i'm sick of resting. kate and i did not make it to church since i am still contagious and didn't want to share the wealth with anyone else.
but she and i did okay today-she changed clothes 4 times for the first outfit. i tried on her birthday party outfit, and it was too big, so i did some editing/hemming and then later she wanted to try it on, and she loved it. it was amazing. the dress screams "i'm 2 and i'm having a polka dot party" and it's great. i wish i had one.
then she put on another dress, really cute, that lasted 5 minutes until the ultimate winner came out-the nudie. she loves the "no clothes" look.
i guess it's more comfy that way. we did some coloring, some playing, some reading, some sticker time. we did some fun bath time tonight, with a huge bubble event (invitation only) and it was fun and full of belly laughs.
she went to bed early...um we started the routine a bit too early....and she didn't like that. so she cried. now, i am very sensitive to her cries. they make my shoulders rise and my eyes go big and i can't relax. i have to solve it. andy tells me, you can't solve it, let her soothe herself. so i went outside and cleaned out the cars. (after an andy roadtrip, the car needed a touch of dwell well to remove trash)
my car had some trash too so i had to get that out-it also smelled funny. went back inside, since it was about 100 degrees out there, and had to cool off. i still heard crying. went and told her to be quiet, she needed a diaper change. andy assisted, i retreated to my bathroom with a magazine and the fan on to try to relax.
ease out of there...no crying. nice. carry on with laundry, communicating with hubby, and then, cry (kate). i went in there, she had another wet diaper, and also wanted to be naked. easily solved. retucked, and here we are.
i am really enjoying my blonde hair-it's giving me a lift of spirits that i need. now if i can just feel well enough to put on some makeup i'll be in business.
i'm supposed to work with a dwell well client tomorrow (labor day) but that might not take too long. we don't have any big plans, but i don't know if i'm up for any since strep throat kind of kills your social life.
maybe i have cabin fever. maybe i am frustrated because i just had a 2 week vacation from work and i had no vacation.
in the valley there is vision. i love andy, love kate, love God, love Bay St Louis, and i'm am going to love tomorrow because it is new.
