things were good today. kate was excited to school, andy was excited to take her, and i was excited to go to work. we always have staff meetings on tuesday and i love it because we all have the chance to sit down and talk and all work on the same page. andy and i have had lunch 2 days in a row-i feel spoiled! it's been so so great. i picked kate up right after lunch and we played and played but she was really interested in watching "ebo" (elmo) and her "BB" (dvd). andy translated that for me so i was glad to understand what she was saying. we played, tickled, cuddled, took a bath, and she went to bed around 7. andy was at a meeting so he wasn't able to tuck her in, and she missed him, but she was very well behaved.
i worked this afternoon on planning our trip for 2 days to the delta so andy can do some work. i have a wonderful friend, theresa, who is coming to take care of kate for the overnight trip. i typed out some things for her just for my peace of mind and she should be good to go. i've known theresa since i was 4 and we can really trust each other. that says a lot.
my laundry is drying right now, the tv is boring, and andy is working on his computer. i'm also about to sync my ipod.
God is so good to me, i'm exhausted but i'm happy.
andy and i are leaving tomorrow for the delta, and this will be the 2nd time i've ever left kate in the care of someone other than a) andy or b) a daytime babysitter. we are going to the alluvian for some rest and to charge our batteries.
it was a last minute decision but it's one of those mental health decisions-it's needed.
kate is so darling and is again in need of a haircut. her hair grows so fast!
