i don't think i'm supposed to have sand on my stove, let alone in my kitchen. but this is what happens when you live at the beach. sand everywhere-and it's beautiful.
we've been to the beach every day this week, and it has been healing. relaxing, although kate is still trying to get her act together in the wind and the waves. bless her little heart.
she is so fun. today i brought some crackers to feed the seagulls, and they were MAD for the crackers. they just about landed on our heads to get those things. kate was in love with them. with her arms outstretched to the skies, she welcomed the birds to land on her but they would not. she was so cute, smiling at them as they squawked at us for more cheeze-its.
at one point i feared for us because they were so close, but then andy threw some sand at them, and they digressed.
i took a "mental health" day, as kelly calls it, and went to Slidell, LA. they have shops there, and grocery stores-we don't have those here in the Bay. it was nice, but still depressing. i purchased a journal with which to keep up with my daily doings-what i do, who i talk with, etc. so that i might remember next week what work conversations i had.
thus i have sand on my stove from putting our beach bag there, and i kind of like it.
