So I am now among the living and not the dead. (Read: I'm over the stomach virus.) You may recall on my blog noticing the kid in kate's class that puked on the table last week-i must have caught what he was dealing with. christmas eve, christmas were no picnic at the Copacabana (my name for our house) as andy and kate were sick as dogs. i was frustrated at this-how could they be sick on the holidays? but then i learned my lesson-tuesday night i was up all night long with a love-hate relationship between me and the bathroom. it was much better thursday.
today was the first real day i could eat. mmmm we cooked steak for dinner on the grill-it was mos def. (i'm working on my slang terminology.) note: i did have a good Christmas afternoon at Susan's house with her family-eating and opening presents and also working on slang flash cards. we ate some dank turkey. (tasty)
to do: write thank you notes, take down holiday decor, plan what to do while andy is out of town all this week.
rain all day today=no fireworks. andy said he wanted to blow something up-a true passion of his. i'd like to watch but from a distance. maybe tomorrow.
kate is feeling much better after 2 weeks down in the dumps. today she was very happy and cuddley and fun to be around.
mumsy, andy's mom, is sick and had to cancel her trip here. she probably contracted that sickness from kate the last time she was here, like we all have. (read: babysitter can't come tomorrow) so we have no stunning new years plans. that's fine with me-i'm still reeling from my surprise birthday party on the 14th.
i now have 834 songs on my ipod. i feel cool. it's hard to commit to one song all the way through-so many choices.
